October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

In North Carolina alone there have been 47 domestic violence murders in January – August 2010.

FVPC is the only agency in Orange County serving the needs of domestic violence victims.

“Grapes for Good 2010” is FVPC’s wine-tasting and silent auction event to celebrate the opening of our second office at 109B Millstone Drive in Hillsborough and FVPC’s  10th birthday. This event will be held on Friday October 15, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:30 and will include a six-flight wine tasting given by Danny Moran of The Wine Cellar at Sutton Station and elegant hors d’oeuvres from Mark Day Company as well as a silent auction, door prizes and special guests.  The wine tasting portion of the evening will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.

We are excited to be holding our event in Hillsborough’s hottest new venue – The Depot at Hillsborough Station located at 246 South Nash Street.  This is a wonderfully unique, comfortable facility with ample free parking right across the street. Tickets to “Grapes for Good 2010” are $25 per person.  Please call Beverly Kennedy at 919-929-3872 x 109 by October 8th to purchase your tickets.  Or you may email Beverly at www.executivedirector@fvpcoc.org.  We sincerely hope that you will join us for this fun evening to celebrate and benefit FVPC!

Our sincere thanks to Molly Maid of Chapel Hill and the Ms. Molly Foundation for their support of this event.
