The practice of yoga has long been considered a way to not only improve your health and promote greater flexibility but also to relieve stress and bring more calmness into your life. Yoga has also been proven to help people affected by trauma including domestic violence. Helping with depression, anxiety while simultaneously calming the mind yoga helps participants feel calmer and stronger over time. Many of us here at FVPC are avid yogis so we were especially thrilled to hear about a new free class being offered right here in Chapel Hill. Starting today, Franklin Street Yoga is offering a free community yoga class on Mondays at 4:15! The class is taught by qualified teachers-in-training and is a great introduction to the practice of yoga for the newcomer or for those looking to re-establish a more regular practice.
