UNC-Chapel Hill student organization Project Dinah is coordinating with Orange County Rape Crisis Center to do a screening of the film SPEAK, a story about a rape survivor’s journey to speaking out about her assault.
Following the film will be a discussion circle facilitated by
OCRCC where everyone will have the opportunity to stay and talk
about the film, particularly the silencing factors in society that
prevent survivors of violence from sharing their experiences. Coffee
and food will be provided.
It will be in Murphey 116 on Thursday, September 30th at 7pm.
At FVPC we are committed to ending all types of violence, including sexual assault. Many instances of relationship violence also include incidents of sexual assault. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to advocate for survivors of all types of violence having safe and supportive environments to share their experiences.
Please spread the word and pass this on to your colleagues, friends, students, or anyone you think may be interested.
